As mentioned in the Accessories section, copying the style of characters in sci fi/cyberpunk movies or literature is always a safe bet.
But there is a very predominant style that will help you fit in at the clubs, and be recognized by your fellow industrial peers and feared by the Goths.
Of course, we here at the Insta Rivet Kit want to make sure that you fit in with the rest of the subculture! So the clothes included in the kit are:
Military clothes are always a safe bet. If you really want to be recognized as a rivethead, take some of the black masking tape used as an accessory and tape a big, black “I” onto your wife beater. Everyone in the club will instantly understand that to mean “Industrial”. If they stare at you and snicker, it is just because they are jealous.
What do you wear out?
The Capital I is actually from a cyberpunk story. I don’t even remember what it was called, but the erzatz “Cyberspace” was from licking synthetic feathers, Goth was called “Noir” and they had an opposing subculture/fashion clique called “Vivid” which was kinda raver/bronyesque.
So anyway, obscure=über, but the I was branded on their forehead, and stood for “Individual,” but ironically. Since they fit in by expressing their Individuality by having it faking branded onto their faking foreheads!
No a particuarly serious cyberpunk story, wish I could remember the author, or title, but I was the last posterrivetheadboi for 10 years before this site faded into obscurity, so an Einsturzende Neubauten tee-shirt is probably your best bet.
